The Wildgoose Gallery was founded by Ian D.Davie in 1976 in the village
of Fairburn, West Yorkshire. The gallery overlooks the impressive Fairburn
Ings nature reserve.
Ian's immense dedication to the world of art and framing made a resounding
success of The Wildgoose Gallery and his contribution to the industry
was recognised when he was awarded a 'Special Business Award' in 1993.
The ultimate accolade came when Ian was honoured with the office of 'Master
of the Fine Art Trade Guild' in London 1997-1999.
The business was always a family partnership in every way and since Ian's
untimely death in 2001 his daughter, Anita has been overseeing the running
of The Wildgoose Gallery and its sister gallery 'The Davie Gallery' Tickhill,
Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
The Wildgoose Gallery offers a unique selection of paintings of the highest
quality, in relaxed and stylish surroundings.
We have six individual showrooms showcasing approximately 600 original
paintings in a traditional style.
We also pride ourselves in offering a wide selection of the finest frames
available, including precious metal and veneered mouldings to compliment
the paintings.
We also provide a bespoke picture framing and restoration service.
We are members of The Fine Art Trade Guild, which was established in 1910
and as such we trade and are bound by their various codes of practice
which commit all its members to provide a trustworthy and honourable service
to clients, strictly in accordance with consumer protection legislation.
